Our Approach

“I relate therefore I am; so how I IMPACT on you and how you IMPACT on me determines the nature and quality of our being”

– Charl Vorster 2011

The Impact Therapy Team works from an Integrative Interactional Approach, meaning we draw from a variety of communication based techniques to tailor make a therapeutic plan to best suit each client.

The techniques we draw from include, but are not limited to, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, IMAGO and communication training.

There are a number of different types of therapy available depending on your needs. When people think of therapy they often think of more traditional therapy in a one-on-one setting. We do indeed offer that but we also have specialists trained in BWRT, Brainspotting, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy.

We also offer a number of personal development talks, groups and workshops, making the benefits of psychotherapy available to more people in our community.
